About MLDeep and this role
MLDeep is an AI and data consultancy in build mode. We help funded startups turn AI from a slide deck into systems that run in production. We solve the same hard problems for customer after customer, and there are products hiding inside that repeated work. That is what you build.
This is our first product engineering hire, and it is a founding one. You own how MLDeep turns its expertise into software. Full-stack, end to end, from data and model to the interface a customer actually touches, shipped to production and kept running. Today that lives in the founder's head and in one-off client builds. Your job is to turn it into products that scale beyond any single engagement.
If you want tightly scoped tickets and someone else owning the architecture, this is not it. If you have ever shipped something real and wanted to own the whole thing, from the idea to the thing running in production, keep reading.
What you will own
You own the products behind the consultancy, from first idea to live and maintained.
- Full-stack AI products, end to end. Data, models, backend, and the interface, all of it.
- The judgement of what to productise. You spot the patterns in our client work that deserve to become software.
- Production, not demos. You ship systems that run reliably and keep running, and you own them when they do not.
- Integration across the SaaS and AI tooling our customers already live in.
- The technical standard. You set how we build, and you keep it high.
Your first 90 days
- By week two, you understand our work, our stack, and the patterns worth productising.
- By day 30, you have shipped something real to production, however small, and proven the loop end to end.
- By day 60, the first product surface is taking shape and customers or the team are using it.
- By day 90, you have a product running in production that you own, and a clear view of what to build next.
What success looks like
Products that run reliably in production, work that scales past any single customer, and a technical foundation other people can build on. You will know you are winning when something you built is quietly doing work that used to take the team hours, and it just keeps running.
Who you are
- You have shipped LLM or AI products to production, not just prototypes, and you can show us.
- You are strong full-stack, comfortable across JS/TS and Python, from data to interface.
- You design for the long run: documented, maintainable, owned, not clever for its own sake.
- You carry a deep sense of ownership. You do not need a ticket to know what matters next.
- You are hungry to learn fast in a field that changes every month, and you treat that as the best part of the job.
- You want to be the best in the room, and you want to be somewhere that lets you prove it.
What you get
- A founding seat with meaningful equity. We talk real numbers on the call.
- Total ownership of your function and a direct line to the founder, no management layer between you and the decisions.
- The best AI tools to do your work, subscriptions covered.
- Remote-first work, judged on what you ship rather than hours logged.
- A front-row seat to how an AI company gets built, and room to grow as we scale.
A note on joining this early
We are small and still building. There is ambiguity, there is no playbook waiting for you, and some of what you try will not work. That is the trade. In return you get real ownership, the chance to set the standard instead of inheriting one, and a level of impact you cannot get as hire fifty somewhere larger. We give you the best AI tools and we expect you to use them hard. We also expect you to think. Work that is clearly offloaded to a model and shipped unchecked has no place here. We want people who are better at their craft than we are, who learn fast, and who want to make a dent. If that is you, we should talk.
